Red Sky

"Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning. Red sky at night, sailors delight." I've become accustomed to looking for such things, thanks to Larry. :-) I took this picture of the breathtaking pink sky when I woke up this morning; thankfully from the comfort of our home.

Last night was so warm and summer-like. We had a relaxing dinner on the boat. The marina is still quite empty so we're savoring these blissful moments. The sun was intense so we got off the boat, walked across the parking lot to a picnic table and sat alongside the edge of the lake. The water was a deep blue and the sky was pale blue...I wish I had taken a picture. There was a breeze coming from behind us as we sat facing the lake and within moments, the wind direction wrapped around us, picked up in intensity, and was blowing cold air directly in our face! The waves picked up and quickly there were white caps. It was unbelievable how quickly it changed!

It's possible 20 minutes passed but I think it was less, from the moment we stepped off the boat, sat on the table, walked back to gather our things and then got in the car to go home. The temperature had dropped 20 degrees! It was a perfect reminder that it's still spring in Michigan. :-) My neighbor's tree was another beautiful reminder of that too.
