Caribbean Whispers

The beachfront condo that we rented in 2012 in St. Thomas was our first experience in the Caribbean. We have returned to a different island every year since.

Over the years, I have been incorporating whispers from the Caribbean into my decor and when I stop to notice them, I am overwhelmed with bliss. 

White sheer curtains blowing in the breeze. The rich texture of palm fronds. Smooth lacquered wood. Rich, dark, brown/black tones of espresso. Shades of white found in limestone. Louvered doors and shutters. Sapphire and turquoise waters. White sand. Glimmering water beneath a starry sky.

These are the senses I treasure and I return to them time again, even in our home that is not on a beach with tropical breezes wafting through the windows.
